وی اضافه کرد: دانشگاه‌های مختلف در شورا‌های علمی و کارگروه‌های مختلف حضور داشتند و با دانشگاه‌ها برای معرفی اساتید نامه‌نگاری کردیم؛ بنابراین دانشگاه‌های مختلف در این موضوع نقش داشتند و انشالله در دوره‌های بعد، مشارکت آن‌ها بیشتر خواهد شد.
دکتر مقیمی اضافه کرد: باوجود این‌که شاخص‌های کمی مثل ارجاع (citation) مقاله‌ها و تعدد مقاله‌های بین‌المللی جزو ملاک‌های ما بوده؛ ولی شاخص‌هایی که برای انتخاب غلبه داشته است، بحث شاگردپروری و اثرگذاری اجتماعی بوده است.
رییس دانشگاه تهران گفت: کارگروه‌هایی داریم که هم مستندات را دیدند و هم اثرگذاری اجتماعی این چهره‌ها را شاهد بودند. کارگروه‌های تخصصی، شناخت کامل از این اساتید داشتند و واقف به این موضوع هستند که اثرگذاری اجتماعی دارند؛ نه این‌که فقط مقاله آن‌ها را بشمارند. بخشی از آن‌ها مستندات است و بخش عمده این انتخاب، قضاوت علمی کارگروه‌های خبره است.
