وحید پرست‌تاش، پژوهشگر حوزه بالکان گفت: معتقدم که ما یک وظیفه‌ای داریم و آن وظیفه این است که باید تاریخ را به صورت دقیق و واقعی بنویسیم، بخصوص این حوزه حوزه‌ای است که از دسترس ما خارج است و اگر واقعیت‌ها را خودمان ننویسیم و مستندنگاری نکنیم، دیگران برای ما تاریخی می‌نویسند که تغییر دادن آن بسیار سخت است و بعد باید سرمایه‌گذاری کنیم و آن تاریخ را درست و واقعی بنویسیم. 

وی افزود: نکته دوم اینکه کسانی که در بوسنی و هرزگوین و در حوزه منطقه بالکان از ایران بخصوص در دهه 90 میلادی حضور داشتند، باید از این فرصت استفاده شود و هر چه سریع‌تر داده‌های ذهنی این افراد واکاوی و مستند و تبدیل به اسنادی بشود که فردا بتوانیم در مجامع بین‌المللی از آنها استفاده کنیم و اقدامات مثبت جمهوری اسلامی در آنجا و خصوصا مقاومتی که مردم بوسنی برای دفاع از خودشان و جانشان داشتند ثبت و ضبط بکند.
